Call for Nominations

The Italian Art Society solicits nominations to fill vacant positions for Board officers and committee members. Candidates must be IAS members at the time of their nomination; all members, including student members, are eligible for nomination. Officers hold two-year terms; committee members and communications team, three. Elections will be held in mid-January by the membership via online ballot. New terms of office begin in February after the IAS business meeting at the College Art Association annual conference.

Open Positions for 2023

Board of Directors (2 year terms):
– Vice President
– Secretary
– Treasurer

Officers and Chairs (2 year terms):
– Chair of Emerging Scholars Committee
– Chair of Nominating Committee
– Chair of Membership, Outreach, and Development Committee
*This can be divided into two co-chairs: Chair of Membership and Chair of Development. If two members would like to be considered as co-chairs they should submit their statements together and note their request to be considered as co-chairs

Committee Members (3 year terms):
– Awards Committee (2 openings)
– Membership, Outreach and Development Committee (2 openings)
– Program Committee (2 openings)
– Nominating Committee (1 opening)

Communications Team (3 year terms):
– Publications Coordinator and Newsletter Editor
– Publications and News and Notes Assistant
– Social Media Coordinator
– Webmaster
– IAS Blog Editor
