After Leonardo’s famous Milanese mural painted between 1495 and 1498 for the Dominican friary of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Leonardo died 495 years ago today. Andy Warhol was commissioned to make his homage by a Milanese gallery in 1986. It was acquired by the BMA in 1989.
