Starting today, Abbot and Holder Ltd. will exhibit fifty-seven watercolors painted by Giacinto Gigante and his royal students, the Borbone Princes Francesco, Luigi, Alfonso, Gaetano, and Princess Maria Annunziata di Borbone in the mid-nineteenth century. Gigante took his royal charges outdoors to practice plein-air painting in the Neapolitan countryside. The watercolors were later collected into an album and are individually for sale through 31 July.
