CALL FOR IAS OFFICER AND COMMITTEE MEMBER NOMINATIONS EXTENDED TO 8 OCTOBER 2016
The Italian Art Society is presently soliciting nominations to fill vacantpositions for Executive Board officers and committee members. Candidates mustbe IAS members at the time of their nomination; all members, includingstudent members, are eligible for nomination. New terms of office begin inFebruary after the IAS members’ business meeting at the annual conference ofthe College Art Association Vacancies are listed below and on the Italian ArtSociety website at www.italianartsociety.org. Please see the website forfull position descriptions.
Nominating Process
Any member of the IAS may be nominated or self-nominated to any of thevacancies noted below; membership in the Emerging Scholars Committee (ESC) islimited to current graduate students and those who have received a graduatedegree within the last six years. Each nominee must submit a current CV as wellas an IAS Nomination Form that includes a statement ofinterest (150 words max.) indicating the position to which s/he is beingnominated. When you save the form, please include the last name of the nomineeas part of the file name. A nominee who is interested in more than one positionshould indicate order of preference. The extended deadline for nominations is 8 October 2016.

OPEN POSITIONS (2017 Vacancies):
President (2019). Customarily the current Executive Vice President succeeds the departing President.
Executive Vice President (2019). Potential candidates will be interviewed by the Executive Board.
Vice President for Program Coordination (2019). This position, also Chair of the Program Committee, will be appointed.
Awards Committee (2020). Two vacancies. Chair will be appointed.
Emerging Scholars Committee (2020). One vacancy.
Membership, Outreach, and Development Committee (2020). Two vacancies.
Nominating Committee (2020). Two vacancies. Chair will be appointed.
Program Committee (2020). One vacancy.
