The Italian Art Society is seeking complete session proposals (including confirmed speakers) for the 2018 meeting of the Leeds International Medieval Congress, to be held in Leeds 2-5 July 2018. The theme of the 25th-anniversary 2018 congress is ‘Memory’, and proposals may touch on all areas of the theme. For a list of suggestions and prompts see the LIMC website.
Sessions are 90 minutes long, and feature three 20-minute papers and a moderator. To propose a session for IAS sponsorship you must submit: 1) a 100-word abstract giving a clear rationale for the topic, 2) names and contact information for all speakers including affiliation, email, and postal address, 3) a list of key terms for the session and papers, and 4) indications of technology needs beyond a data projector and PC. The Italian Art Society is dedicated to the study of Italian art and architecture from prehistory to the present day; session proposals should address both the aims of the IAS and the theme of ‘Memory’ set by the 2018 Congress. Send session proposals to the IAS Programs Coordinator by 15 September 2017.
