Italian Art Society Virtual Reception

In lieu of our annual IAS reception at RSA, this year the Italian Art Society would like to that the opportunity provided by our current digital reality to invite all of its members and any prospective members to a virtual reception on Friday, April 16th at 6:00pm EST. Come meet the newest officers, reconnect with old friends, and make new connections within our scholarly community.
This has been an exceptional year for everyone. As a result, creating equity opportunities and building community bonds are a priority for the IAS Board. The virtual reception will be used as a platform to help support our members through two types of awards that will be raffled off during the reception:
- an Emerging Scholars Publishing Award (for image subventions and any other fees associated with a publication)-
- an Independent Scholar/Part-Time Faculty Publication/Research Award (for anyone not currently employed full-time)
To fund these awards, we are encouraging our members to make a minimum $5 donation (or whatever amount is possible). All donations will go directly to these awards and can be considered tax-deductible.
To join the virtual reception, send an email to events@italianartsociety.org by Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Please indicate in your RSVP if you would like to be considered for either of the awards. A confirmation email with the zoom link will follow.
