The Italian Art Society (IAS) welcomes applications for the Dorothy F. Glass Travel Award. The award of $1000 is meant to support an emerging or unaffiliated scholar traveling abroad to study, or to present on, the arts of the Italian Middle Ages. Preference will be given to scholars of sculpture, the major subject of Glass’s work. Recipients must be members of the Italian Art Society at the time of application and upon receipt of the award, and must not have received an IAS award in the previous two years. IAS officers are not eligible to apply.

The Italian Art Society is pleased to announce that the 2026 cycle of Travel Grants is now open! All applications must be submitted by December 15, 2025.
