The Worcester Art Museum has announced the acquisition of Veronese’s Venus Disarming Cupid. Reported in The New York Times and ArtDaily. Art collector Hestor Diamond (mother of Beastie Boy Mike D) has given the painting – a rare example of a Veronese still in private hands – in honor of her stepdaughter Rachel Kaminsky, who is on the board of the museum.
