Francesco Vanni: Art in Late Renaissance Siena opens today through 5 January at Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven, CT. Vanni was Siena’s preeminent artist at the dawn of the Baroque era and a key figure in Italian Counter-Reformation painting. This exhibition, the first monographic treatment of Vanni, includes over 60 paintings and drawings by Vanni, as well as many prints following his designs.
