The Springtime of the Renaissance: Sculpture and Art in Florence 1400-60 opens today at the Louvre in Paris through 6 January 2014. The exhibition, also shown at the Palazzo Strozzi, Florence, looks to sculpture as the genesis of the Renaissance through 140 pieces of ancient, medieval, and early Renaissance works in marble, bronze, terra cotta, and wood.
