The Art Newspaper has published a follow-up report to the ongoing crisis with large cruise ships threatening Venice. While the Italian government has agreed to reduce the number of ships going to Venice by about 30% as of a year from now, plans are going forward to dredge a deep channel to allow their arrival at the city’s port. The “No to the Big Ships” campaign will continue to fight these measures and demand further reduction of big ships coming into La Serenissima.
