Among the works that will be on view at the Guggenheim’s Italian Futurism retrospective are murals by Benedetta (d. 1977, née Cappa, wife of fellow futurist Filippo Tommaso Marinetti (d. 1944). They are part of a series decorating a conference room in a Sicilian post office, where they have hung since their installation in 1934. They have never left home, and the exhibition Italian Futurism, 1909-1944: Reconstructing the Universe will offer visitors a rare opportunity to see them. The exhibition will run from 21 February through 1 September at the Guggenheim, New York.
