The first catalogue raisonné of the important Op artist Paolo Scheggi (Florence 1940-Rome 1971) will be presented on Tuesday, May 10, at 6:30pm, at the Palazzo dei Giureconsulti in Milan. Published by Skira, the book was curated by Italian art critic and curator Luca Massimo Barbero in collaboration with the Associazione Paolo Scheggi, with the help of Franca Scheggi Dall’Acqua and Ilaria Bognotti. The publication is the culmination of a careful study and collection of materials that include texts, photographs, writings (mostly unpublished), and comprehensive inventory of the artist’s work. Overall, there are over 650 works documented, including environmental projects, maquettes and performances.  At the publication presentation there will be extraordinary guests, such as Luciano Caramel and Alessandro Mendini. A panel discussion will follow, moderated by Ilaria Bignotti for the Association Paolo Scheggi.
