A Warm IAS Welcome in Bruges!
The Italian Art Society teamed with the Historians of Netherlandish Art and the Flemish Research Centre for a marvelous reception on 19 August 2016 at the Groeningemuseum in Bruges, Belgium.
As part of the Sixteenth Century Society Conference proceedings, the reception featured opening remarks by Till-Holger Borchert, Director of the Musea Brugge, followed by a lecture by Anne Van Oosterwijk, Assistant Curator of Old Master Paintings at the Groeningemuseum. Concluding the reception was a private viewing of the museum’s galleries.
