Beyond Caravaggio Exhibition Opens Today at London’s National Gallery

The exhibition “Beyond Caravaggio” opens 12 October at the National Gallery in London. Featuring examples of the Baroque master’s work, including the long-lost Taking of Christ, the exhibition aims to elucidate Caravaggio’s far-reaching influence on his contemporaries and followers.

This showing is one of the first in the United Kingdom to tackle the topic of Caravaggio and his vast web of posthumous Caravaggisti. The exhibition will remain on view until 15 January 2017. More information can be found on the National Gallery’s website
