Saint Mark’s Basilica Now Scaffoldless

Saint Mark’s Basilica, one of Venice’s most prominent architectural and religious landmarks, can now boast a scaffold-free facade. Secluded under scaffolding since 1994 as part of the ongoing maintenance for the more than 950-year-old structure, Saint Mark’s will most likely not be uncovered for long. The continuous nature of the sanctuary’s conservation means more work will most likely commence in the coming months.
