Free Italian art Books Available to Download from the Guggenheim
Since 2012, the Guggenheim Museums and Foundation has been digitizing its massive collection of monographs, catalogs, and other art books. The museum has now completed this undertaking and these books are available to download at no cost, via the Internet Archive.
Some of the most impressive books, which would be either impossible to locate in print or very, very expensive through antiquarian dealers, include monographs on artists including Lucio Fontana and Enzo Cucchi to specialized exhibitions such as 1985’s Tauromaquia at the Peggy Guggenheim Venice to books about art movements like the Italian “metamorphosis.”
The books are available in a variety of e-pub formats, including for Kindle readers, as simple text, as .jpg flat files, torrents, and PDFs. Download books from the Guggenheim’s internet archive page here.
