Following the sale of Heath House, Tean (a Gothic Revival mansion in Staffordshire, England), Mellors and Kirk Fine Art Auctioneers have been instructed by the Phillips family to sell the contents of their former home. The auction takes place online on Tuesday 12 April, 2022 at 10.00am GMT.

Amongst the lots listed is Michelangelo Grigoletti’s The Doge Francesco Foscari Condemning his Son to Banishment. Painted in 1842, the artwork was commissioned by the Phillips family and was recorded by Joanna Phillips, in 1845, as being in situ within the house’s drawing room.

The auctioneers are also advertising a number of nineteenth-century copies of Italian Old Masters’ paintings, produced by the artists of Campanile in the Via Sistina, Rome and the Milani workshop in Florence.
