On 26 May, 2023, between 4 and 5PM (BST), The National Gallery London is hosting a free online “Talk and Draw” session, exploring one particular panel from Sassetta’s San Sepolcto Altarpiece (the gallery presently houses seven sections of the original 60). Their website explains that the session will work like this:

First, listen to a brief talk, then respond by making your own work in this short, artist-led drawing session. Please have to hand a sharp pencil, paper and a rubber.

The session will take place online and will last about 1 hour.

Sometimes we might suggest using different drawing or craft materials, so, if you are able to, please keep a pencil case of different colours, a ruler and a pair of scissors nearby, as well as anything else you might like to experiment with.

This session will be accompanied by live speech-to-text transcription supported by Stagetext.

The event is free however, pre-booking online is required. When registered, an E-ticket bearing access information will then be generated.
